Eyebrow Transplant

An eyebrow transplant fills in sparse areas, redefines the shape of your brows and adds the density that frames your eyes. Book an assessment and get the eyebrow design you have always wanted.

What is an eyebrow transplant?

An eyebrow transplant is a minimally invasive procedure that restores the shape and density of your brows by moving your own hair follicles from a donor area — usually the back of the head — to the eyebrow line. It is a good option if your brows have thinned from years of over-plucking, from scarring, after an illness, because of genetics, or simply because they were never as full as you wanted.

At Dharma Hair in Medellín we plan every case around your face: the symmetry of your features, the arch that suits you and the direction each hair should follow. The aim is not a thicker eyebrow but one that looks like it was always yours.

Why patients choose an eyebrow transplant

Fuller, better defined brows

Sparse patches are filled in and the eyes get an even frame, which is what makes a face read as rested and expressive.

A design made for your face

The arch, thickness and starting point are planned around the shape of your face and the symmetry of your features, not copied from a template.

A natural result

Each follicle is placed following the angle and direction of your original brow hair, so the result is practically indistinguishable from a natural eyebrow.

A rested look

Well defined brows lift the eye area and give the face a fresher, younger look without touching anything else.

Permanent results

The transplanted hair keeps growing for life, so you trim it, brush it and care for it exactly as you would your own brows.

Questions?

Frequently asked questions about eyebrow transplants

What does an eyebrow transplant involve?

Hair follicles are taken from a donor area — usually the back of the head — and implanted along the eyebrow following a design and a direction planned in advance, so the result looks natural.

Is it painful?

No. It is done under local anaesthetic, so you will not feel pain during the procedure. Afterwards you may notice mild tenderness for a few days.

Who is a candidate?

People with sparse brows from genetics, years of plucking, scarring, illness or ageing. A medical assessment is what confirms whether the procedure is right for you.

Are the results permanent?

Yes. The transplanted follicles keep the characteristics of the donor area and go on growing naturally for life.

Will the brows look natural?

Yes. Follicles are placed one by one, following the angle, direction and density of a natural brow, which is what makes the difference between a transplant you notice and one you do not.

When will I see the final result?

You will see the first growth at around three to four months. The final shape and density settle between nine and twelve months.

Can I wear make-up or shape my brows afterwards?

Yes. Once the area has fully healed and the transplanted hair is settled — roughly four to six weeks — you can make up, trim and shape your brows as usual.

Will there be visible scars?

No. With FUE and the ARTAS robot the incisions are tiny and practically invisible, both in the donor area and along the brow.
